She began her acting career in early 1980s, and became famous for her role as Siobhan Ryan between 1982 and 1986 on the daytime drama Ryan's Hope. Catherine Willows is her most known role in CBS's crime procedural drama. Crime Scene Investigation (2000-13) and the subsequent TV movie Immortality (2015). Vegas (present-day) is an update to the earlier film. Helgenberger also has a reputation as the character K.C. Koloski is most well-known for her role in ABC's China Beach drama series (1988-91). She was awarded the Emmy Award of 1990 as Outstanding Supporting Artist in the field of Series Drama. She also has roles in the TV show Under the Dome as well as Intelligence. She also was in films Species (2000) Erin Brockovich (2000) Species II (2002) and Mr. Brooks (2007).
