Suzy Kolber was born Suzanne Lisa Kolber on May 14 1964. She was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania to a Jewish family. Suzy Kolber, who is now 58. Sandra Kolber, her mother has been her name. Gene Kolber, is her father. Kolber attended Sandy Run Middle School in Dresher Pennsylvania and is a 1982 student at Penn's Upper Dublin High School. She graduated with the Bachelor of Arts In telecommunications 1986 from the University of Miami. While in her undergrad years she was hired to the post as a sports director at Dynamic in Coral Gables Florida. Additionally, she worked by Dynamic Cable for two years, between 1984 and 1986. In this time she was also part of the water ski team in the University of Miami. In her youth Plaza was a part of community theatre in her native Wilmington acting, performing improv, as well as directing one-act theatre. She moved into New York City after high school where she studied film and TV production at New York University Tisch School of the Arts as well as taking classes in Improv at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. When she was 20 years old, she had a stroke that caused the temporary occurrence of expressive aphasia (a problem with the expressive and comprehension of the language).
