Zoe-perry
Perry was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Her first appearance was in television shows as Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on the ABC sitcom Roseanne. She did not explore acting as a profession until she reached the age of adulthood due to her parents being worried about the detrimental consequences stress can have. Perry claims she never wanted to be an actor in high school, but she decided to begin acting as a social activity during her time at Northwestern University when she switched to it from Boston University. Perry, after graduating from Boston University, moved to New York in search of TV roles. She landed small parts on TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homelessness brought her back to California for theater roles. In 2013, she was a part of The Other Place on Broadway with her mother. She appeared in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie as well as Kevin McKidd. This was performed at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry was in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. In 2017, she starred in a recurring role on her own ABC drama about politics Scandal with her father. She also played in the role of a younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was an CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. She was cast in the role in an audition that was open despite being a fan of the persona.
